2. Scope and acceptance of the Terms
- These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: the Terms) apply to ticket orders placed on the Website, between the Service Provider and the person buying the ticket (hereinafter: the Buyer). The Service Provider may also sell tickets at the venue (for example the Visitor Pass, which is available only at the venue); purchases at the venue are governed not by these Terms but by the conditions announced at the venue.
- The Buyer may be a private individual or a company. Only a Buyer who qualifies as a consumer benefits from the rules on consumers. A minor Buyer may order in accordance with the rules of the Civil Code (Ptk.) on legal capacity, with the consent of their legal representative where necessary.
- Before sending the order, the Buyer accepts these Terms at the checkout by ticking a checkbox, and declares that they have read the Privacy Notice. Without this, no order can be placed. With the order, the system records the time of acceptance, the version of the accepted Terms and of the acknowledged Privacy Notice, and the language of the order.
- Every version of the Terms is available on the Website at its own, unchanging address (this version: https://riftbound.delta1.hu/terms/2026-10-21), so the Buyer can save and print it. The Service Provider may amend the Terms; an amendment applies only to orders placed after it takes effect. If the Terms change while the Buyer is filling in the checkout, the system warns them of this, and the Buyer must accept the new version.
- The language of the Terms is Hungarian. The Service Provider also publishes an English translation for information purposes; in the event of any discrepancy, the Hungarian text prevails.
- The Service Provider separately and prominently draws the Buyer's attention to the following provisions, which differ from usual contractual practice and which the Buyer expressly accepts by sending the order: the condition attached to the Main Event seat (point 3.4), third-party offers (point 3.7), obviously incorrect prices (point 4.5), entry on presentation of the ticket (point 8.2), the absence of the right of withdrawal (point 10), the exclusion of returns and refunds only for the whole order (point 12), the age limit and house rules (point 13), and the exclusion of liability for an incorrect e-mail address (point 14.2). The Terms also highlight these provisions in bold type.
3. The service
- Passes for the Riftbound Showdown Budapest (a Riftbound card game tournament; hereinafter: the Event) can be bought on the Website. The Event takes place on 28–29 November 2026 at the World Mall, Budapest; the exact address of the venue is given on the ticket and in the confirmation e-mail. The organiser of the Event is the Service Provider.
- The Standard, the Plus and the Premium Pass can be bought on the Website. The price and contents of each pass (for example entry to the venue, a seat in the Main Event, the Travel Assistance package, early entry, a goodie bag, a Side Event voucher, a discount redeemable at the vendors) are set out on the Website, in the description of the pass. The pass entitles the holder to the items listed there.
- Days of entry: the pass entitles the holder to entry on the days shown for the ticket type on the Event's page (for example ‘Valid on both days’), once a day (point 8.2). If the pass is valid for fewer days than the Event lasts, the Buyer chooses on which days to enter with it.
- Main Event: every pass bought on the Website provides a seat in the Main Event. The condition for keeping the seat is that the pass holder registers in person, at the venue, during the registration time published by the Service Provider on the Website. If they do not register within that time, the Main Event seat may be lost; this does not affect the other items of the pass. The Service Provider publishes the tournament rules, which set out the registration time and the other conditions of participation (in particular any conditions relating to age and to a player account), on the Website no later than 7 days before the Event, and does not change them to the Buyer's detriment after publication. The Side Events require a separate sign-up at the venue. Riot ID: at the checkout, for each pass the Riot ID (game name and tag, e.g. Name#EUNE) of the player whose pass it is must be given. The Service Provider registers the player with it in Riot Games' official tournament system (Riftbound Gaming Network). One Riot ID can have one pass for the Event: if a pass already belongs to the Riot ID given, the system says so when the order is sent. The Buyer is responsible for the Riot ID given being correct and belonging to the player whose pass it is. The Buyer can change a Riot ID themselves until the deadline shown on the order's page: on that page they can ask for a link, which the Service Provider sends to the order's e-mail address and which works for 24 hours. A changed Riot ID is subject to the rules above; the Riot ID of a pass already checked in cannot be changed. After the deadline, or if the Buyer has no access to the order's e-mail address, the change can be requested from customer service. Anyone who finds that someone else has bought a pass with their Riot ID can report it to customer service.
- Early entry: the holder of a Plus or Premium Pass may enter earlier than other visitors, from the time published by the Service Provider before the Event.
- Goodie bag and vouchers: the Service Provider hands over the goodie bag of the Premium Pass and the Side Event vouchers included with the passes at the venue. A Side Event voucher can be redeemed during the Event and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Third-party offers: some items of the pass are provided not by the Service Provider but by a third party: these are the travel and accommodation offers of the Travel Assistance package (for example an offer from a partner hotel) and the discount redeemable at the vendors that comes with the Premium Pass. These offers can be taken up on the third party's own terms, subject to available capacity; the amount of the discount, the price and the validity of the offer are set by the third party. The Service Provider passes on the means of accessing the offer (a link or a code) in the confirmation e-mail or at the venue. When taking up an offer, the Buyer enters into a contract with the third party, and the third party is responsible for its performance; the Service Provider is responsible only for passing on the offer.
- No account needs to be created on the Website to buy. The Buyer receives their tickets by e-mail and can also access them via the order's personal link (point 8.1).
- The Service Provider publishes the programme of the Event (the schedule of the Main Event and the Side Events, the prizes, and the community rewards that depend on the number of participants) on the Website. Changes to it are covered by point 11.
4. Prices and discount codes
- All prices on the Website are in Hungarian forints (HUF) and are gross prices: they include the statutory value added tax (VAT). No other fee (for example a handling or payment fee) is charged to the Buyer on top of the ticket price.
- The Buyer is bound by the price shown at the checkout when the order is sent.
- The minimum order total is HUF 1,000.
- One discount code can be redeemed per order. The Service Provider announces the conditions of a code (validity period, which tickets it applies to, minimum order value, how many times it can be used and how many times per e-mail address) when publishing the code. A code cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot reduce the total below HUF 1,000. Discount codes of third parties (point 3.7) are governed not by this point but by the third party's conditions.
- If, through the Service Provider's error, an obviously incorrect price appears on the Website, the Service Provider is not obliged to fulfil the order at the incorrect price. In that case it notifies the Buyer and refunds the amount already paid in full.
- If the Website shows a price in euros alongside the forint price, the euro price is for information only, calculated at the European Central Bank's reference exchange rate. The Buyer pays the forint price: their card is charged in forints. If their card is not in forints, the conversion is carried out by the Buyer's bank, at its own exchange rate.
5. How to order
- The steps of a purchase:
- On the Website's tickets page or on the Event's page, the Buyer selects the pass and the quantity and adds them to the cart. For each ticket type, no more than the quantity indicated there can be bought in one order.
- In the cart, the quantity can be changed and items can be removed, and a discount code can be redeemed here.
- At the checkout, the Buyer gives their name, e-mail address and billing details (country, postcode, town or city, street address), and for each pass the player's Riot ID (point 3.4). For a company invoice, the company's name and tax number must also be given.
- The Buyer accepts the Terms. For an age-restricted event, they also declare that they have reached the age limit.
- The order summary (items, discount, total) and the information on the absence of the right of withdrawal (point 10) are shown at the checkout. The Buyer sends the order with the ‘Order with obligation to pay’ button.
- The system redirects the Buyer to the payment page of the payment service provider (Paynance), where they pay the total (point 6).
- After a successful payment, the Website shows the result of the payment, and the Service Provider sends the confirmation with the tickets by e-mail (points 7 and 8), followed by the invoice in a separate e-mail (point 9).
- Correcting input errors: until the order is sent, the Buyer may freely change the cart and every field of the checkout. The system flags incorrectly completed fields, and the order cannot be sent until they are corrected. An order that has been sent can no longer be changed; in that case the Buyer may contact customer service.
- Payment period and reservation: the order can be paid for within 20 minutes of being sent (hereinafter: the payment period). The system holds the tickets for a further 5 minutes so that a payment started at the last moment can also go through. After that the order expires and the tickets go back on sale. The system does not reserve tickets that have been added to the cart but not sent in an order.
6. Payment
- Payment is made on the payment page of Paynance (Paynance Kft., 6000 Kecskemét, Akadémia körút 2.), in forints, by bank card or by another payment method offered on the payment page. Paynance processes the payment on the system of Adyen N.V.
- The Buyer's card details are handled exclusively by the payment service provider and do not reach the Service Provider.
- An order is paid once Paynance has confirmed the successful payment, its amount and the order's identifier. After a successful payment, Paynance also sends a confirmation e-mail about the payment in its own name.
- If the payment fails (for example the bank declines the card), the Buyer may try again within the payment period.
- If the payment arrives after the payment period has expired, the Service Provider records it. If the tickets can still be issued, the Buyer receives them; if not, the Service Provider refunds the full amount (point 7.2).
7. Conclusion of the contract
- By pressing the ‘Order with obligation to pay’ button, the Buyer makes an offer. The Service Provider acknowledges receipt of the offer by redirecting the Buyer to the payment page immediately. If the Buyer returns to the checkout before paying, they see there the order number, the total and the end of the payment period. The contract is concluded after successful payment, when the tickets are issued. The Service Provider confirms this without delay in an e-mail sent together with the tickets; the confirmation names the version of the accepted Terms and of the acknowledged Privacy Notice, and also attaches both documents. If the Buyer does not receive the confirmation within 48 hours of sending the order, they are released from being bound by their offer and may request a refund of the amount paid; it is worth checking the spam folder and the ‘My tickets’ page (point 8.1) first.
- If the payment is successful but the Service Provider can no longer issue the tickets (for example because the places have run out in the meantime, the Event has been cancelled or has ended, the discount code redeemed has run out in the meantime, or another order has meanwhile got a pass for the Riot ID given), the Service Provider automatically refunds the full amount to the payment instrument the Buyer paid with. The time it takes for the amount to be credited depends on the payment service provider and the Buyer's bank.
- The contract is concluded electronically and does not qualify as a contract in writing. The Service Provider files (keeps) the order electronically, and the Buyer can access it via the order's personal link. The language of the contract is Hungarian; for an order placed in English, too, the Hungarian Terms govern, and the English translation is for information purposes (point 2.5).
8. Tickets and entry
- Tickets are issued as PDFs, each with its own QR code. The Buyer can access the tickets in the following places:
- as an attachment to the confirmation e-mail;
- via the order's personal link, which is included in the confirmation e-mail;
- on the payment result page, for 30 minutes after payment, in the browser in which they ordered;
- on the ‘My tickets’ page: the system sends the links to the orders again to the e-mail address given at purchase.
- The ticket is not issued to a named person: in the tournament system the pass belongs to the Riot ID given (point 3.4), but entry is with the ticket. At the entrance, the ticket's QR code is scanned or the ticket code is entered. The ticket entitles the holder to enter once on each day for which it is valid (point 3.3): after the first scan of the day it can no longer be used on that day, so whoever presents it first on that day may enter with it. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that their ticket and the order's personal link do not become known to unauthorised persons.
- The ticket may be passed on, but may not be resold on a commercial basis.
- The tickets of a refunded order and the tickets for a cancelled Event cannot be used.
9. The invoice
- For every paid order whose tickets it has issued, the Service Provider automatically issues an invoice in the Számlázz.hu (KBOSS.hu Kft.) system and sends it to the Buyer as a PDF in a separate e-mail. The invoice is made out with the billing details given at the checkout; the Buyer is responsible for their accuracy. No invoice is issued for an order refunded under point 7.2 without its tickets being issued.
- A company invoice can be requested when ordering, by giving the company's name and tax number. The details of an issued invoice can be changed afterwards only to correct a clerical error, in accordance with the accounting rules; for this, the Buyer may contact customer service.
- By accepting the Terms, the Buyer consents to the Service Provider issuing the invoice as an electronic invoice and sending it by e-mail (section 175 of Act CXXVII of 2007 on value added tax).
- If an invoice has already been issued for the order and the Service Provider refunds the price of the order, it cancels the invoice with a cancellation (storno) invoice and sends that by e-mail as well.
10. Right of withdrawal
The ticket is for a leisure service on a specific date. Under section 29(1)(l) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses, the consumer therefore does not have the 14-day right of withdrawal: the Buyer cannot return the ticket without giving reasons. This does not affect their rights under points 7.2, 11 and 14. The Buyer is informed of this at the checkout, before sending the order.
11. If the Event is cancelled or changes
- Cancellation: if the Service Provider cancels the Event, it refunds the full price of the orders containing tickets for the cancelled Event to the payment instrument the Buyer paid with. The Service Provider initiates the refund within 14 days of the cancellation being published; the Buyer does not need to do anything for this. Crediting the amount may take some time, depending on the payment service provider and the Buyer's bank. The tickets of a refunded order cannot be used, and the Service Provider cancels its invoice with a storno invoice (point 9.4).
- New date or venue: if the Event is moved to another date or another venue, the ticket is valid on the new date or at the new venue, as the case may be. Anyone who cannot attend on the new date or at the new venue may request a refund of the full price of their order from customer service within 14 days of the change being published, but no later than before the start of the Event.
- Changes to the programme: a change to individual items of the programme (for example the schedule, the Side Events, the prizes, the guests, the vendors or the sponsors) does not count as cancellation of the Event, provided that the Main Event is held and the Buyer receives the items listed in the pass description. The community rewards that depend on the number of participants are due only when the number published on the Website is reached.
- The Service Provider notifies the Buyer of the change at the e-mail address given at purchase and on the Website.
12. Returns
- Because of point 10, the Buyer cannot return the ticket and is not entitled to a refund of its price. A refund is due in the cases described in point 4.5 (obviously incorrect price), point 7.1 (confirmation not received), point 7.2 (the tickets cannot be issued) and points 11.1–11.2 (cancellation of the Event, or its new date or venue). This does not affect the Buyer's statutory rights, in particular their rights in respect of defective performance (point 14.1).
- A refund always covers the whole order: the price of individual tickets in an order cannot be refunded separately.
13. Venue, age limit, house rules
- If the Service Provider sets an age limit for the Event, it shows it on the Event's page, and the checkout asks for a declaration about it. In that case only persons who have reached the age limit may enter. The Service Provider may check identity and age at entry; it does not record any data about this. If the ticket holder is under the age limit and therefore cannot enter, the ticket price is not refunded. This does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.
- At the venue, the venue's house rules and the Service Provider's tournament rules apply. The Service Provider may have a person who seriously breaches the house rules or the tournament rules removed from the venue, or disqualify them from the tournament; in that case the ticket price is not refunded. This does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.
14. Liability and warranty
- If the service is defective, the consumer may exercise the rights under the statutory warranty for defects (kellékszavatosság) under section 6:159 of the Civil Code: primarily, they may request that the defect be repaired; if this is not possible or the Service Provider does not undertake it, they may request a price reduction or, in the case of a significant defect, withdraw from the contract. They must report the defect without delay after discovering it; a defect reported within two months of its discovery is deemed to have been reported without delay. A claim under the statutory warranty for defects becomes time-barred two years after performance.
- If the e-mail has gone to the spam folder or has been lost, the Buyer can request their links again on the ‘My tickets’ page. The system sends them only to the e-mail address given at purchase, so if the e-mail address was given incorrectly, the Buyer should contact customer service. The Service Provider is not liable if the tickets do not arrive because of an incorrect e-mail address given by the Buyer.
- The Service Provider strives to keep the Website continuously available, but it may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or a technical fault.
15. Complaints and enforcement of rights
- The Buyer may make a complaint using the contact details given in point 1.
- The Service Provider replies to a written complaint in writing, on the merits, within 30 days of its receipt. It gives reasons for any rejection.
- The Service Provider examines a complaint made orally (in person or by telephone) immediately and remedies it where possible. If this is not possible, or the Buyer does not agree with how the complaint has been handled, the Service Provider draws up a record of the complaint and hands over or sends a copy of it to the Buyer. A complaint made by telephone is given a unique identifier.
- The Service Provider keeps the record and a copy of the reply for 3 years, as required by law, and for up to 5 years on the basis of its legitimate interest in the enforcement of legal claims.
- If the complaint cannot be settled, the consumer may turn to the conciliation board competent for their place of residence or place of stay, or to the conciliation board competent for the Service Provider's registered office. The board competent for the Service Provider's registered office is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület; 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. I. em. 111.; postal address: 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10.; e-mail: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu; telephone: +36 1 488 2131). The Service Provider is obliged to cooperate in the conciliation board's proceedings.
- The consumer may also turn to the consumer protection authority (the county or Budapest government office competent for their place of residence; vármegyei vagy fővárosi kormányhivatal), and may also enforce their claim in court.
16. Data protection
The Service Provider processes the Buyer's personal data in accordance with the Privacy Notice. The notice can be reached from the Website's footer and from the checkout; the version in force when these Terms took effect: https://riftbound.delta1.hu/privacy/2026-10-21.
17. Final provisions
- Matters not regulated in these Terms are governed by Hungarian law, in particular Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code, Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services and Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.).
- The Service Provider has not submitted itself to any code of conduct.
- If any provision of these Terms is invalid, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions.
- The content of the Website (texts, images, logos and other brand elements) is the intellectual property of the Service Provider or of the right holders (for example the holder of the rights in Riftbound and the sponsors), and may be used only with the right holder's permission.
